Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of spreadloveandacceptance.com and the Spread Love & Acceptance program, including all free tools, the printable infographic, the book, the workpapers, and the optional email updates list (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Patrick Christian Andrews ("we," "us," or "the operator"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

The Service is a self-help educational framework combining conceptual models drawn from bookkeeping, contract theory, and nervous-system science to help individuals, and any two or more people who share a home, work or care, examine workload and communication patterns.

• Everything is free. The whole Service is open to everyone at no charge, with no sign-up and no account: the book, the workpapers, the calculators, the guides, the games and every tool. There is no paid version. The tools run in your browser, and what you type into them stays on your device (see On this device).
• Email updates are optional. If you choose to, you can leave an email address to get short update emails (at most one a week), delivered through Buttondown. Nothing on the site is locked behind it.

The Service is educational and self-help content only. No professional relationship of any kind is formed by using it. See Section 05 (Disclaimers) for more detail.

Cost

The Service is free. There is no subscription, no billing and no paid version, and we never ask for payment or card details. If anyone asks you to pay for access to this site, it isn’t us. The printed and Kindle editions of the books are separate, optional products sold by Amazon, not through this site. Amazon takes that payment and handles any return under its own policies, and every chapter stays free to read here.

Intellectual Property

All book text, workpapers, calculators, diagrams, and named frameworks (including "Spread Love & Acceptance" and related terms marked with ™) are the intellectual property of the operator. Use of the ™ symbol indicates a claimed trademark and does not represent that any mark is federally registered.

Using the Service gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Service's content for your own household's private use. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly republish, or create derivative commercial products from the book, workpapers, or calculators without prior written permission.

Teaching and group use. You may print and share pages and handouts for non-commercial teaching and group use, with credit. This covers schools, colleges, youth groups, community and faith groups, support groups, and counselors or coaches working with clients. Please keep the credit line (“From spreadloveandacceptance.com”) on anything you hand out, don’t charge for the copies, and don’t change the meaning. Showing pages on a screen in a class or group is fine too. Selling the material, or putting it inside a paid course or product, still needs written permission. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The frameworks described (including My weather today and the Fair split check) are rule-of-thumb (heuristic) self-reflection tools, not validated clinical or scientific instruments. Do not rely on this Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of relationship, income, or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. The operator's total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms, including unauthorized commercial redistribution of the content. You may stop using the Service at any time. If you joined the email updates, you can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. What the tools keep on your device can be cleared from the On this device page or your browser settings.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Virginia.
