What’s stored on this device
Some pages keep small notes in this browser, like your settings, a draft, or how far you got in a game. They stay on this device. They are never sent to us. Here is every one of them, in plain words, with a way to erase it.
- Only in this browser. Another browser or phone won’t see them, unless you move them yourself (see Your progress, below).
- Erasing is for good. There is no copy anywhere else to bring it back from, unless you saved a backup file yourself.
- Erasing a setting just puts that page back to its usual look.
Your progress
Private, and free. There’s no account. What you do here stays on this device, and we never see it. A backup file or a move link is made right here, and goes only where you put it or send it.

Save a backup
One file with everything you’ve done here. Keep it in Files, iCloud Drive or Google Drive, on a USB stick, or email it to yourself.
Restore from a backup
Open a backup file you saved. You’ll see what’s in it (tool names and dates) before anything changes.
Move to another device, or into the app
Bringing your progress over from your browser? Paste the move link below, or choose a backup file under Restore.
Make a link that carries your progress. Open it on your other phone, computer or the app, and it asks before restoring anything. The link holds your progress after the “#”, which browsers never send to any website.
On iPhone and iPad, links open in Safari, not in the Home Screen app. To bring progress into the app, copy the link, open the app, come to this page, and paste it here:
Keep it from being cleared
Checking…
- Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac can clear a website’s saved data after 7 days of using Safari without visiting it. The app on your Home Screen keeps its own count, so it isn’t cleared that way.
- The Home Screen app and Safari keep separate storage. Installing starts the app empty: bring your progress over with a move link or a backup.
- Any browser may clear it when the device runs low on space, and clearing your history or site data removes it.
My saved entries
Save a tool’s answers as a dated entry, then open it later, compare it with an earlier one, rename it or put it back. Saved entries go into your backups too.
Earlier versions
Each time something changes in a tool, the version before is kept, so you can go back. Erasing a tool’s data erases its earlier versions too.
App lock
Clear my data
Clear everything, or one tool at a time. You’ll be asked twice, with a quick sum to type, so nothing goes by accident.
Kept on this device right now
Looking…
Kept only until you close this tab
These disappear by themselves when the tab or browser is closed.
What leaves this device, and what never does
What you type into the chat, the tools and the worksheets is never sent anywhere. (Your chat with Professor Puddles is kept only in this tab, listed above, until you close it or press Start over.) If you turn on the weather, a rounded spot from your location goes to Open-Meteo, a free weather service, to look up the forecast. Google Analytics, which counts visits, keeps its own cookies (their names start with “_ga”). “Erase everything” above clears them too, along with the offline copies of pages; blocking them doesn’t change anything on the site. Your email address is sent to the newsletter service only if you choose to get email updates (nothing on the site needs it), and the site keeps a copy in this browser so it doesn’t ask again. How we handle your information
If you let a music visualizer hear your own music, the microphone or shared tab sound is looked at live on this device to move the picture, never recorded, saved or sent, and it stops when you press Stop listening or leave the page.
