How to save your spot, a page, a workpaper or a tool
- Save a page, a tool or a workpaper. Tap Save at the top of the page, next to Menu. Tap it again to take it off (you can Undo).
- Mark your place in the book. In a chapter, tap Save, then Mark my place here. It keeps the paragraph you’re reading. Long guides work the same way.
- The book remembers by itself. Each chapter keeps where you stopped reading. Open it again and a small line asks “Pick up where you stopped?” Tap Continue, or close it.
- Take notes as you go. In the book and long guides, tap Save, then Write a note here. Your words stay with the paragraph you’re reading, and a small dot appears beside it. Tap the dot any time to read or edit the note. On other pages, tap Add a note right after you save, and the dot sits beside the page title. You can keep as many notes on a page as you like. Every note is listed here, with Go to the spot. Notes stay on this device.
- Find them again. Open Menu, then Saved for later. Your three newest also show on the home page under “Pick up where you left off.” It works the same in the free app.
Private, and only on this device
Your saved places are kept in this browser. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Another phone or browser won’t see them unless you move them yourself.
- Back them up or move them: they go along with Your progress (a backup file, or a move link to another phone or the app).
- App lock: if you lock the site with a PIN, this list is hidden until you unlock it.
- Shared computer mode: nothing is kept once the tab closes, so saved places go too.
- Erase them: remove one at a time here, or see What’s stored on this device.
