The Order to Use Them In
Every workpaper works on its own, but they were built to be picked up in sequence. Used all at once, they turn into paperwork, and that is the most common reason a household gives up in week two.
WP-01 → WP-02 → WP-03 → WP-09 → WP-13
Read CALC-01 once the first three have produced numbers. Pick up WP-04 monthly after that. PROG-01 paces the whole sequence across six weeks if you'd rather be walked through it, and REPORT-01 is where each week's figures get recorded so the picture builds up instead of resetting.
If you're new: start with WP-01 and keep one week of Who did what before touching anything else. If things feel urgent right now: WP-02, then WP-09. If the same argument keeps coming back: that's a WP-03 problem, not a communication problem.
Workpapers
The numbering has gaps because the numbers come from the order of an early plan. Only finished workpapers are listed. Every live workpaper can be filled in on screen, downloaded as a fillable PDF you can type into or print, or done together in the Workpaper Suite, which lines them up for your kind of relationship and makes one report from them.
- WP-01 Who did what, and kind ways to say noThe 7-day log of who did what plus 21 scripted scenarios for declining or deferring a task. Produces the workload balance figure. Use it first, then for one week each quarter. Page
- WP-02 How much are you carrying?A five-question checklist that each person fills in about themselves, separately. Produces the leftover-stress figure. Use daily, and before any hard conversation. Page
- WP-03 One owner per jobAssigns one owner and one backstop to every recurring task. Produces the ownership clarity figure. Use after two weeks of audit data, and amend whenever life changes. Page
- WP-04 What keeps coming back?A monthly look-back across four weeks of Who did what logs, classifying each repeat deficit as a structural gap, a capacity issue, or a one-off. Monthly, not weekly. Page
- WP-09 Say it so it landsConverts a raw reaction into fact, feeling and ask before you send it, and weighs what you just received before you answer it. Use in the moment, on one thing that actually stung. Page
- WP-11 The Calm-Down KitA kit of sensory ways to calm yourself, for interrupting a sudden stress spike before a hard conversation. Page
- WP-13 90-second daily check-inA 90-second daily check-in (load, appreciation, friction, ask) with no debate and no rebuttal. The one habit meant to outlive the rest of the system. Page
- WP-12 Same moment, different speedsWhen one of you wants to sort it now and the other needs time: map each person’s speed in five everyday moments, then agree one small fix. Page
- WP-14 Is it us, or is it everything else?A one-week log that keeps outside pressure (work, money, sleep, illness) apart from friction between you, and ends in a plan. Page
- WP-15 Keep your little rituals aliveA 15-minute check every few months: which shared rituals are alive, fading or stopped, and one to restart. Page
Calculators & Program
- CALC-01 Is the setup working for everyone?Takes the figures the workpapers produce and returns a single 0–1 read on whether the current workload arrangement looks sustainable. It scores the arrangement, never either person. Runs in your browser and sends nothing; the long form keeps your entries on this device only if you choose. Page
- CALC-02 Look back over 30 daysHow things were about a month ago next to how they are now: who did what, last-minute rescues, everyone’s load and jobs with an owner. A plain read of what shifted, what didn’t, and one next step. There is also a quick version. On your device only. Page
- REPORT-01 The Full ReadWhere everything comes together. It records what each workpaper produced, week by week, and writes up the findings no single tool can see: where the figures agree, where they contradict each other, and which contradiction matters. Your ledger is a file you save and reload; nothing is stored in the browser. Page
- PROG-01 The 6-Week ProgramA guided sequence through the live workpapers in a deliberate order, one tool at a time, ending in a second read you can compare against the first. Page
What the Scores Will Never Use
The scores (CALC-01 and REPORT-01) never use tone of voice, recordings, message sentiment, response timestamps, or anything describing one person without their direct part in entering it. Each person enters their own side. (Tools like the Chat analyzer look at messages you paste in, on your device only, and give no score.) None of this is a validated clinical or statistical tool, and if a number is ever used to end a conversation rather than start one, it's being misused.
What Comes Next
Everything that has been designed is now listed above. More may follow; each is added the day it is finished. If you see any chapter, workpaper or calculator referenced elsewhere as already complete and it is not listed above, that reference is wrong. Within its stated scope, this index is the current source of truth.
New material gets added to this index the same day it goes live, not before.
